Prometheus Group Acquires Sage Technology
Raleigh, NC: Prometheus Group, an industry leading provider of software solutions that enable best practices for maintenance and operations in asset-intensive industries, announced today that it has acquired Sage Technology, an Australia-based company focused on industrial safe work solutions including electronic permit to work, risk assessment, and job monitoring. Sage Technology’s software helps customers identify and track potentially dangerous work-site situations and covers the entire safe work process – identifying potential hazards, creating safety checklists, and ensuring the correct paperwork has been completed and submitted.

The combined company will use the Prometheus Group name and will be led by Mr. Huang. Former Sage Managing Director Lynda Bertoli is retiring 27 years after starting Sage Technology. Bertoli commented, “After visiting and getting to know Prometheus Group we realized they were the perfect fit to expand the reach of Sage Technology’s safe work software products to the worldwide market.” Sage Technology Director Peter Kingwill has been named Prometheus Group’s Vice President, Electronic Permit to Work and will remain with the combined company moving forward.
