As the 2027 deadline for SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration nears, ASUG Members in the Oil, Gas, and Energy (OGE) industry are notably further ahead in their SAP S/4HANA adoption journey than other industries. According to new research from ASUG and Prometheus Group, 66% of OGE ASUG Members are already operating in or starting their migration.
Despite most OGE ASUG Members being ahead of the curve, they are encountering issues they did not consider before their move, such as master data quality and integration capabilities within non-SAP solutions. One ASUG Member in the OGE industry said, “Too many duplicates make it much harder for the user to know which vendor master to use. We need to develop a more standardized process.”
